Lipofilling (Autologous fat transfer)

The techniques for using autologous fat have been optimised in recent years to such an extent that today's procedure is straightforward and quick – it is nothing like it was 5 years ago. In the lipofilling procedure, vital (living) fat cells are transferred from one place in the body to another, where they are permanently incorporated into the existing tissue.

Everything you need to know about lipofilling

In recent years, the techniques using autologous fat have been optimised to such an extent that they can be carried out efficiently and much more quickly than in the past.

Liposuction, using the WAL system (water-jet assisted liposuction), enables us to gently harvest the cells and, after a short processing, inject them directly into the desired region using special cannulae. This technique involves transferring vital (living) fat cells from one place in the body to another.

According to the latest scientific studies, up to 72% of autologous fat heals permanently. In the face, the percentage is often even higher.

The use of autologous fat is very versatile. It can be used for breast enlargement or the enlargement of the buttocks. It also offers a permanent alternative to the injection to reduce deep wrinkles and restore lost volume to the mid-face. It is also ideal for compensating contour deficits, for example after operations or injuries.

Another advantage for you is that unwanted fat deposits are reduced during the removal.

I will be happy to explain all the details in a personal consultation.

  • Duration of the operation: 1-2 hours
  • Type of anaesthesia: General anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with twilight sleep, depending on the clinical condition
  • Stay: Outpatient or overnight stay – naturally, it depends on your wishes
  • Compression garments for 6 weeks
  • Check-ups take place 1, 7 and 14 days after the operation.
  • Further appointments can be arranged upon request.
