INTRODUCTION

Facelift Facial surgery

Around the age of around 25 to 30, the ageing process of the human facial skin starts and the reduction of cell renewal sooner or later manifests itself in decreasing elasticity and resilience. External factors such as wind, weather and sun exposure, as well as carelessness when it comes to nutrition and skincare, reduce the moisture content of the skin, leading to wrinkles. If measures such as creams, peelings or injections with e.g. hyaluronic acid products have not led to a satisfactory result, a facelift is the surgical measure of choice for you.

Everything you need to know about facelifts

Our skin is exposed to many different stress factors throughout our lives. Factors that can cause the skin to age prematurely include exposure to the sun, smoking, significant weight changes, and stress. The result is usually a loss of elasticity and youthfulness of the skin.

Signs of facial ageing are, for example, deepening of the nasolabial folds, saggy cheeks and a loss of volume in the midface with sunken cheeks as well as increased wrinkling of the skin.

If creams, peelings or injections with e.g. hyaluronic acid products have not led to a satisfactory result, a facelift is the surgical measure of choice for you. The techniques with which facelifts can be performed have been refined over the decades. Today, only a small amount of skin is removed to achieve the desired goal of making your face look younger.

Much more emphasis is placed on tightening the fascial systems located under the skin. In a facelift, the fatty tissue of the cheeks can be repositioned, giving the mid-face more volume and eliminating the sagging cheeks. This leads to a lasting, natural result and prevents the sometimes mask-like appeal of facelifts in the past.

The aim is to create a fresh, relaxed and more youthful look, but without a resulting change in type.

I will be happy to provide you with detailed information about the techniques and possibilities of a facelift in a personal consultation.
